ELLEN DENUTO

Ms. Denuto, is a founding member and president of the N.J. Chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers. She began her career as technical representative for the Ilford Corporation and Photo Archivist at the Paterson Museum, working with their historic glass plate, acetate and film collections.

 

She was invited to be guest speaker for the Minolta Camera corporation and contributing photographer for Agfa and Iford film brands.

 

Her personal  images were selected by Image Bank’s Larry Freed for inclusion in his International Collection, and in the original collections of the Photonica Stock Agency.

 

Most recently her work was given honorable mention in the Julia Margaret Cameron Awards, Black and White Magazine and the Carter Burden Gallery.

 

She is a regular juror, guest speaker and workshop leader for ASMP,  Professional Photographers of America PPA, Professional Woman Photographers PWP,  SOHO Photo, and Universities.  Ms. Denuto created

and curated the ongoing exhibitions “The Other America”

and  “the Artist as Art.  She is and Adjunct professor of traditional photography at several Universities.

 

Her work is featured in: 100 New York Photographers . The Tao of Seeing, The World’s Greatest Black and White Photography, Graphis: The Nude, Sensual Images and Legendary Brides to name a few.

 

Her photograph of transgendered couple Nick and Gigi became the poster for AMERICAN VISION and NYU’s Washington Square Gallery exhibition.
